"Everything I do is based on the More or Less PhilosophySM that I developed for my clients. I believe that if you integrate small changes into your life every day, they will add up over time and make a huge difference in the way you look and feel.
My promise to clients is that they'll never have to worry about me telling them to go run for 18 miles or eat grapefruit and plain tuna twice daily for a month. I don't believe in gimmicks because they don't work for most of us, so I equip ordinary people with the tools they need to be successful without relying on unrealistic schemes."

"Do you remember what you wanted to be when you were little? When I was five years old I drew a picture of a muscle man. I remember using paint cans and a broom in my garage to workout. I recall begging my overweight brother to go for a jog. I believe I have always been a personal trainer. I LOVE what I do! I believe that passion is contagious and creates lasting change. Most importantly, I love people. Apart from practical experience and knowledge, I can offer understanding and humor--all of which enable my clients to enjoy the process and reap amazing results."

You have to strive to be the healthiest you can be without comparing yourself to others. I understand what it’s like to struggle with your weight, and I love watching my clients transform and see positive results from what I’ve taught them.”

I know how great it is to have someone who is flexible with your schedule and who will come to you. I love pilates, and I think it’s one of the best forms of exercise you can do. "I believe with fitness—as with life—you get out what you put in. People want to believe in the get fit quick schemes: ‘the easy fixes,’ ‘the magic pill’. Unfortunately, this has lead to the belief that diet and exercise are not needed to become fit. These processes are based on no hard evidence and pseudoscience. To become fit and stay fit, you need to put forth the effort, commitment, and dedication to change your lifestyle behaviors. Doing the small things like taking the stairs instead of the escalator can pay huge dividends in your quest to become fit. It takes time to change yourself, but with a little effort and dedication, what once seemed like work will become an uplifting, rejuvenating part of your day.”

"I am an avid yogi who has been practicing and studying the many teachings of yoga for almost 20 years. I started when I was a teenager; I suffer from asthma and was not able to do a lot of the more strenuous sports in high school so my doctor recommended yoga. Of course this came at a time when yoga was not very popular and the only classes you could take were at the YMCA. It took one class and I was hooked! I noticed that I could breathe better and use less medication. So, here I am years later with a deeper understanding and love for yoga.
I decided to become certified after my guru and good friend kept encouraging me to expand my practice by sharing what I know with everyone I meet, so that one day too they will love their inner being as I do now.
I teach a wide range of Yoga from Kudalini breath work to Ashtanga power yoga, Prenatal/Postnatal as well as basic to advance. I like to do an eclectic class focusing on all parts of our body so that when you leave you will have a better understanding of your physical self."

“My dream is for people to listen to their bodies ~ to respect the body's natural flow and needs for movement, rest, nutrition, creativity, fun, spirit, and work. I love helping others to regain a zest for living from the inside-out! Every day is different, and every body is different, so aim to discover movement and fitness you love.
For the past nine years, while teaching fitness and working professionally in various media roles, I have honed in on my communications skills, expanded my love for music/movement, and deepened my desire to help others thrive in their own skin. With the pressure to be and look perfect, the vanity factor thinly ices the cake and if focused on too much can lead to unhealthy patterns and obsessions. If we steer clear of perfection and aim toward listening, we tap into a truly fulfilling physical, mental and spiritual self.
With ongoing studying of the mind-body connection with established mentors and advisors, every day I look forward to helping others realize their full potential. We all need traditional and core-focused resistance training, stretching, cardiovascular endurance and rest – With one-on-one focus from a trainer who can hear your unique needs as opposed to depending on a generic plan, you sharpen your own mind-body awareness to live fully – to thrive in your body, to notice the messages, to value your strengths, to become compassionate with your softness. I want you to find what you love and find ways to incorporate that energy into your daily life!”

"Personal training goes beyond just getting a client to their fitness goals; it is establishing a trust between the client and trainer. Clients are trained through up tempo workouts that force the body to burn fat faster, thus increasing the client's results. The client must first believe in his/herself that they are capable of accomplishing their goals. I believe that the three keys to success are to be mentally strong, positive, and patient. When this occurs you will then be able to accomplish such a rigorous feat.”

It allows me to help people and motivate them in to living a healthier lifestyle through exercise. We all have a purpose in life, each one of us with our own talents and skills that should be used to help make a positive impact in someone’s life and in the world. I believe my purpose in life is in fitness, to help people to reach their fitness goals no matter what their age or fitness capabilities are.
Everybody can start exercising, it doesn’t matter what shape you’re in or what age you are, you’re never too old and it’s never too late, fortunately, exercise doesn’t have any size or age limit, so go for it! There are many medical benefits to exercise; it will reduce your risk for developing Heart Disease, Diabetes, and High Blood Pressure. There are also many physical benefits to exercising, such as building lean muscle mass and reducing body fat. Exercise is not only about looking good on the outside but also how you feel about yourself on the inside. You have to first love yourself and care enough about your health to want to exercise."

“My Yogic Journey began in 1996, thanks to a recommendation of a dear friend. Initially I explored yoga as a means of physical fitness for physical perfection. However, I soon began to realize yoga's restorative and introspective nature. Through my yogic practice, I have grown personally and spiritually. For me, yoga is more than a physical exercise or profession; it's a way of life. Teaching yoga offers me joy and a creative outlet of artistic expression. Helping others through the art of yoga is a rewarding experience, a feeling of being connected to something greater. To witness the positive affects of yoga is an awesome gift.
I extend much gratitude and respect for my teachers, namely Graham Fowler & Ursula Nix of Peachtree Yoga and Swami Sadasivananda & Sita Chaitanya of Sivananda Yoga. My other influences include Rodney Yee, Shiva Rea and Steve Ross. My personal yogic education is a work in progress. To keep my teachings fresh and innovative, I regularly attend various Yogic workshops and programs. The range of my teaching style includes Sivananda Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Partner Yoga, Prana Yoga, Yoga Dance, Pranayama & Meditation. I enjoy weaving/integrating a guided variety of styles and variations, with an emphasis on relaxation and breathing. A snapshot of my lessons/classes would be fun, inspiring and energizing.”

As a Trainer, it’s important to mentally set my clients’ to train their body, not only for the present, but for the future. "I committed myself to fitness in 1998 when I decided to join a gym to help get a handle on my life. When I was 13 I was diagnosed with JRA (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis). I had a few years of remission during high school and then relapsed while I was in college. I spent the next several years of my life dependent on many different medications to control the pain and inflammation in my joints.
After hiring a personal trainer, and a year of working out and eating healthy, my disease went into remission again. I have had a passion for health and fitness ever since. I was so thankful to have had someone care enough to help me through that tough time that I decided to become a personal trainer and return the favor to others.
I believe that a regular workout regimen should be a part of everyone's life. If we don't take care of ourselves, eventually we won't be of much use to anyone else. So whether it's to start a new life of health and fitness or to take your fitness goals to the next level, I am here to help.
I don't work my fitness schedule into my life. I work my life into my fitness schedule!"

“I came to Pilates with a background in dance and fitness training. Although I am fond of many different exercise disciplines such as running, weight training, and aerobics, I am passionate about Pilates. It can literally transform your body in only a few sessions. The benefits of this practice can heal and correct any imbalance you may have, leaving you feeling stronger and healthier. Learning to connect to your body through the use of your mind is equally beneficial.
It is rewarding to teach Pilates because of the immediate results. Not only will you see the change in your body, you will experience a change in the way you feel. I enjoy working with dancers, athletes, those who suffer from pain, and those who just want to stay healthy and fit. It is a discipline for life and for every age."

My passion in fitness and nutrition goes as far back as the 6th grade when I saved my allowance money to buy weights and a bench. I studied anything I could get my hands on and even started writing work-out and nutrition programs for her neighbors. It is what I was meant to do!
After graduating college I made the decision to make my passion tangible. The clinging of weights mixed with high intensity interval training is my specialty. I like to be creative with my clients and take them to another physical and mental level. Everything is personalized and not only do I have to be a trainer, but also a coach, friend, motivator or whatever it takes to help someone achieve what they may have thought to be unreachable.”

Fitness Philosophy:
“I believe that a healthy lifestyle comes from a holistic approach to taking care of yourself mentally and physically. As a personal trainer, I help my clients learn new ways to improve their health and strength through physical activity, strength training and other diet and lifestyle changes. Everyone can improve their chance for a longer, healthier life by taking active control and listening to their bodies – no matter what their background or current fitness level is. I believe that exercise should be tailored to each person. It does not need to be too difficult, boring or time consuming to be effective.
Exercise has many benefits beyond improving your looks, and every little bit you do helps. It should be fun, challenging, rewarding and invigorating! Most importantly, each person is different. I love being a personal trainer because it gives me the joy of helping you reach your goals in a safe and efficient way. I work with you to develop a plan that’s best for you based on your preferences, experience, physical limitations and schedule!”
