If you are unfamiliar with the superfood known as kale, let us bring you up to speed. Kale is a green that is rich in Vitamin-C, beta-carotene, flavonoids and glucosinolates. This snack is a great choice for health benefits which include reduced risk of heart disease and chronic inflammation. Is your mouth watering yet? Carrot Curry Kale Chips – 100 calories
Ingredients:
10 ounces cut kale leaves (stems and stalks removed)
2 tablespoons olive oil
6 tea bags Numi Organics Carrot Curry Savory Tea
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper

For this interesting take on kale chips, wash the kale leaves and let them air dry for best results. Then, combine kale, olive oil, pepper, salt and tea bag contents into a large bowl; mix well. After mixing, spread evenly onto a baking sheet or pan. Bake the kale at 325 degrees for ten minutes or until chips appear toasted. Enjoy!

 

Salt and Vinegar Kale Chips – 134 calories
Ingredients:
1 bunch kale, washed (stems and stalks removed)
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1/8 teaspoon sea salt (or taste)
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

For a healthier alternative to salt and vinegar chips, try this delicious recipe! Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Chop kale into small pieces if “bites” are preferred. Toss kale with olive oil, apple cider vinegar and sea salt. Spread onto large baking sheets (two for a larger recipe) and bake for twenty minutes or until toasted. Yum!
