Does eating breakfast really matter?

I’m about to tell you how to avoid gaining up to ten pounds for FREE. Yes, that’s right. I’m offering this advice at no cost whatsoever. Yes, eating breakfast matters. While teaching healthy lunch and learns, I often hear that people just aren’t hungry in the morning. Or they don’t have time to eat. Or my personal favorite: “I just don’t like to eat breakfast.” I get all of that. And since I’m not one for trying to force people to do things they’re not ready to commit to, I will just let you take a look at this (click to increase size):

Why eat breakfast

The research shows that people who eat breakfast crave less food all day long, resulting in 6.8% more food eaten each day. I know 6.8% may not sound like much, but let me break it down for you.

If the average breakfast eater has 1500 calories a day, the non-breakfast eater eats 1602 calories a day. That’s an increase of 102 calories per day or 714 calories a week or 3060 calories a month or 37,230 calories a year which equates to…

Over Ten Pounds!!!

Just eating a healthy balanced breakfast each day could prevent you from gaining up to 10 pounds in a year. How’s that for some valuable advice???
