Wellness Coaching
Your wellness coach will help you identify and clarify wellness priorities in the areas of nutrition, fitness, weight, and overall health while creating a holistic action plan that will transform the way you think, feel, and live.
What should you expect to accomplish?
Wellness coaching differs in approach from Personal Training or Dietary Counseling in that your coach will work with you from a non-prescriptive standpoint – meaning she will not tell you what exactly what to do. Rather, she will inspire and empower you to make the choices that are most appropriate for you and your individual situation. Your wellness coach will essentially focus on how to incorporate healthy habits into your life instead of precisely directing which habits you create.

How does wellness coaching work?
The coaching process varies somewhat for every client, but in general, after submitting a health questionnaire, an initial session is set up to discuss your personal wellness goals and explore your motivations for change. This is not a cookie-cutter approach, but an individualized healthy living action plan based on your needs and desires.
You will then meet with your wellness coach regularly to identify, confront, and overcome challenges, clarify boundaries, and achieve balance through a compassionate and light-hearted coaching style. Coaching sessions are typically conducted by phone, so you can schedule them at a time and place that is convenient for you.*
During follow-up coaching conversations, you will celebrate successes, review any difficulties you encountered, strategize around roadblocks, and set action goals for moving forward. If appropriate, you’ll receive targeted wellness information to help you design a balanced program of exercise, nutrition, and health management. Little by little, you will taste success and figure out what works for you as a unique individual.
How long should you expect
to work with a wellness coach?
Changes can begin in as little as one session, so the coaching timeline varies from client to client. Some clients have a specific finite goal; others enjoy having the coach as an ongoing partner. The advised minimum time for lasting change is 3 months.
Clients typically experience vast improvements in the first month, polish their lifestyle and refine the changes in the second month, and brave uncharted territory by the third month. After 3 months, some clients continue, while others may pause to try working without a coach. Some clients even return for more coaching in a renewed direction months after ending an initial coaching segment.
Café Physique clients can either choose to meet with their coach on a month-to-month basis or commit to discounted increments of three or six months.
